Ministry Update & Prayer Request

Hello friends!

We wanted to take a few minutes to share an update with you and let you know how you can be praying for us as we take some important next steps toward ministry with Village Missions.

We are so thankful for the people God has placed in our lives who pray for us, encourage us, and walk alongside us through different seasons. We want to keep you updated on what God is doing and invite you to be part of this journey with us!

An Upcoming Opportunity: Candidate School

We’re excited to share that we’ve been invited to Candidate School in Dallas, Oregon, November 15–21, 2026! You could think of it a little like visiting a church before a final placement. It’s an opportunity for us to take the next step, learn more, and continue discerning where God might lead our family.

Village Missions places pastors and their families in rural communities across the United States to serve churches that need pastoral leadership. Their heart is to help rural churches remain active, growing communities of faith where people can hear the gospel, grow in Christ, and be discipled.

This opportunity is especially meaningful to us because we have both felt a pull toward missions for a long time. Andrew has a particular heart for church planting and discipling people, and we want to be faithful to wherever God leads our family. We don’t know exactly where this journey will take us, but we’re excited to see how God might use us to serve a local church and its community.

Candidate School is our next step toward becoming Village Missions missionaries. After completing the program, we would begin building a team of ministry partners who will support us through prayer, encouragement, and financial giving. Once we reach the required support level, Village Missions will work with us to identify a rural church community where we can serve.

An Immediate Prayer Request: Getting to Oregon

Since Village Missions is a missions organization, we’re responsible for getting ourselves there. They provide everything for us during the week, which is a huge blessing, but we need to come up with about $2,000 for travel expenses by November 6.

We don’t currently have those funds available, so we’re praying and trusting God to make a way for us to get there. Would you pray with us for God’s provision over the next few weeks? If you feel led to help financially with these immediate travel expenses, we would be incredibly grateful.

Here are a few specific ways you can pray:

• Provision: That God would provide the $2,000 needed for Candidate School by November 6.  Wisdom and direction: That we would continue to hear clearly from God as we take these next steps.
• Preparation: That God would prepare our hearts and equip us for the ministry ahead.  Our family: That God would prepare Graeson and Kaetlinn for the changes and opportunities that may come with rural ministry.
• Future ministry: That God would lead us to the right church and community where we can faithfully serve Him.
• Ministry partners: That God would bring the right people alongside us to pray, encourage us, and support the work ahead.

Most importantly, we would love to have you praying for us as we take these next steps in obedience to what we believe God is calling us to do.
